Hot Buttered Scotch Toddy
A great after dinner drink or bedtime drink for scotch drinkers.
- 1 1/2 oz. Scotch Whisky
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp brown sugar or honey
- 6 oz. boiling apple cider or apple juice
- 1 bag Olde Tradition Spice mulling spice
Measure whiskey and pour in a toddy glass. Place brown sugar in honey in a heat proof small container. Spoon in butter and pour in 2 oz. or 1/3 cup hot apple cider or juice and bag of Olde Tradition Spice mulling spice; stir till butter melts and is dissolved into a syrupy consistency (about 30 seconds). Pour in rest of juice, steep an additional 30 seconds, stir briefly and remover spice bag, then pour the works on top of the scotch. Stir gently and enjoy.
